In August 2007, Podtech Vlogger Loren Feldman got dressed up in black face (a tech nigga nonetheless) and asked the question, “Where Are The Black Tech Bloggesr?” While Feldman’s video drummed up controversy and was labeled as racist, it got the blogosphere thinking and talking. Especially the black tech bloggers. Here’s your chance to discover that they really exist, and to learn how they think about technology, and well, people like Feldman.

IE 5.5 Rears its Ugly Head

January 2, 2007

Before I start working on a new web design, I like to visit my web stats to see what browsers and screen resolutions my visitors are using. I notice that 3% of my visitors still use IE 5.5. Now I know your saying 3% is not that big of a deal, and you can’t design for all browsers, but still… I have enough problems with IE 6.0. I just wonder what my sites look like in 5.5? I wonder if the visitors are laughing my designs.

The Quest to find the Best Black Content

December 16, 2006

I challenged myself this year to find the best black web content the internet has to offer. After ripping the web a part looking, I am proud to say that I am very impressed at amount of great black produced content. My RSS enrollment has gone up exponentially this year, and the large majority (around 88%) is black content.

Please believe that locating the wonderful content producers was no easy feat. It took some digging, and the worst part about it is that I may have only viewed a small fraction of the content out there. So I have come up with an idea. I have created a central repository for the best black web content. Now I am not talking about a list of links… No, No, that’s too easy. I am talking about something much more complex and interactive.

I am now approaching the tail end of the developmental stages of this project, and looking for some people who may be interested in joining/beta testing. I am also looking for some people who may be interested helping with the development the app. No programming skills required, just looking for someone with an open mind, healthy heart, tough skin, and some really creative ideas.

Interested in any of the above?.. or maybe just want to ask some questions or have some comments, please fill out this contact form.
