Google has released the first in a series of videos addressing user’s privacy concerns.
The video narrated by Maile Ohye, a senior support engineer with Google, discusses in very novice terms, IP addresses, their newly implemented 18 month anonymizing policy, an explanation of data stored in cookies, and an over view of the data saved in the server logs.

February 27, 2007
I’ve been doing some research on the African-American internet market, specifically blogs, and ran into a demographic study of internet usage released by Pew Research. According to the December 2006 survey, 58% of African-Americans use the internet. To put this into real numbers, according to the US Census Press Release there are 39.7 million African-Americans in the US, this means we have approximately 23 million black people using the internet. According to the Pew Internet Activities survey 39% of the people surveyed reported that they read blogs. Assuming that this 39% is across the board (probably a bad assumption), 8.97 million potential blog readers. Not a bad market.

I am not a fan of PayPerPost, in fact I believe that PayPerPost and similar companies, will eventually destroy the intergity of blogging. But sense they have shown my town some love I thought that I would share. Enjoy!
