The legendary Grambling Head Football Coach Eddie Robinson, has died. He was 88. Coach Robinson was one of the greatest college coaches in football history, amassing over 400 victories and sending more than 200 players to the NFL (7 first-round draft choices) during his 57-year career. Coach Robinson began his coaching career at Grambling State in 1941, when it was still the Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute. Robinson’s career spanned 11 presidents, several wars and the civil-rights movement. He will be sorely missed.

My Super Bowl Prediction

Alright Fam, today is the big game. I have been watching both the Bears and the Colts all season, and could not imagine a better Super Bowl match up! The NFL’s best offense, squaring off against the NFL’s best defense, two trailblazing black coaches, teacher versus pupil. It’s like a good western or kung-fu movie. That’s why picking a winner, unlike in the past two Super Bowls, is going to be so difficult.
I am torn, my heart says Dungy, because he’s been so close for so many years. He’s has proven year in and year out that he has the ability to create a great team no matter what. Unfortunately he seems to come up short every year.
My head says Bears, Lovie Smith, has formulated the leagues best defense, lead by one of the strongest linebacker core I’ve seen in years, a great defensive line, and a decent secondary, I believe the adage “Defense Wins Championships”, will prove true.
My prediction Bears 24 Colts 17.
