PayPerPost in Tallahassee
January 26, 2007
I am not a fan of PayPerPost, in fact I believe that PayPerPost and similar companies, will eventually destroy the intergity of blogging. But sense they have shown my town some love I thought that I would share. Enjoy!

Comments (0)Add Flickr Photos Using the Flickr API
January 21, 2007
I have added my Flickr Photos to the Photography Page using the Flickr API, it’s too bad i didn’t think to use some of the Wordpress plug-ins, but I have always taken the long road. Anyway, I created a script that collects my Flickr data (Server, Secret, Title, Sets Id, and Photo Id) 10min and inserts them into a database. I then created a script to display 20 random thumbnail images. Once an image is selected I use Lightbox JS Slimbox to display the image. If your interested in a more in-depth tutorial let me know.

Comments (0)IE 5.5 Rears its Ugly Head
January 2, 2007
Before I start working on a new web design, I like to visit my web stats to see what browsers and screen resolutions my visitors are using. I notice that 3% of my visitors still use IE 5.5. Now I know your saying 3% is not that big of a deal, and you can’t design for all browsers, but still… I have enough problems with IE 6.0. I just wonder what my sites look like in 5.5? I wonder if the visitors are laughing my designs.

Comments (2)No New Year’s Resolutions for Me
January 1, 2007
I am not a fan of New Year’s resolutions; I find them to be ineffective. I used to waste a lot of time, at the beginning of the year, concocting a laundry list of things that I wanted to complete, just to look back (usually in March) to see that I lost all motivation. So, instead, I decided to focus on improving each year, in 5 major categories; Family, Friendship, Career, Health, and Spirituality. At the end of each year I reflect on the previous years’ accomplishments, and think about some of the methods I can deploy to improve the following year. Since the methods aren’t a specific list, they can be changed and removed based on changing circumstances. The only constants are the categories and the yearly improvement. It also allows me to play on my love for competition, and who better to compete with than yourself?
Happy New Year All!
